Contemporary Composite Doors – Style & Performance
When working on home improvement projects, we know you and your customers want a design that looks as good as it performs. Our composite doors are crafted using premium quality materials and modern manufacturing techniques which will help enhance the weatherproofing, thermal efficiency and security of a home.
We offer two different styles of composite doors, both of which come with aesthetic and performance benefits.
Solidor Composite Door
We supply Solidor composite doors which stand out for having a laminated timber core that forms the base of the door slab. A uPVC band is added to the edge of the door before an ABS plastic skin is bonded to the profile.
Solidor composite doors supplied by Dempsey Dyer feature steel reinforced frames, five point multi-point locks, Ultion cylinders and stainless steel handles and letter plates as standard. This will help the new door installation protect a space all year round.
Solidor composite doors come with a range of benefits, making them a fantastic investment for a customer’s home. One of their key benefits is how energy efficient they are. They have a U Value of 1.4 W/m2k, which can help improve the insulation of a building. A well-insulated home stays consistently comfortable without you needing to rely on your central heating.
Because composite doors offer industry leading levels of insulation, they can help homeowners enjoy a peaceful building. If your customers live in a busy area, by a noisy road or are disturbed by their neighbours, these doors can help protect the peace.
The natural timber core helps to boost the strength of the door, increasing the security of a building. Composite doors are often installed as front doors as they can resist impacts and handle adverse weather conditions.
These long lasting doors are available in a range of colours and woodgrain finishes. Whether you are working on a modern or traditional home, we can adapt our composite doors to your project. We also offer a range of hardware, finishes and accessories because we pay attention to the details.
Foam Core Composite Doors
We offer timber core and foam core doors, both of which can enhance the looks and performance of a home. Both of these doors are crafted using a blend of uPVC and laminated materials around the core. This ensures your new door is strong, secure and energy efficient.
Timber core composite doors have a more authentic design, market leading levels of insulation and can handle whatever life wants to throw at them. Foam core composite doors offer enhanced levels of weatherproofing, a more efficient and are hassle free to install.
Our trade supply composite doors are available in a range of colours, meaning you can meet customer requirements with ease. Although white is offered as standard internally, we offer 7 additional colour variations for the exterior. You can let your customer have full control over their new installation, with our timber spray department which will happily match any RAL colour.
Timber Or Foam Core Composite Doors?
Both designs offer market leading levels of form and function but there are some differences between these two designs.
We know your customers are always looking for ways to improve the thermal efficiency of their space. Foam and timber core doors are both highly efficient. Wood is a natural insulator so a timber core will help retain natural heat. Surprisingly, foam core doors are 19% more thermally efficient than timber core designs.
Foam core doors benefit from state-of-the-art hardware and the core is surrounded by robust materials. However, timber core composite doors are inherently stronger. You can offer your customers two secure doors that are durable and resilient.
If your customers like the look of wooden doors but are concerned with the long lasting weatherproofing properties, contemporary composite doors are ideal. They mimic many of the authentic features but can handle prolonged exposure to the harsh British weather conditions.
Whilst timber is more susceptible to wind and rain, the outer layer will protect the core from adverse weather conditions. Foam core composite doors, on the other hand, are weatherproof inside and out.
